Barcelona – the open city, the Mediterranean city and, without a doubt, a city best enjoyed from its streets….” This is how the friendly young man’s voice on the Audio City Tour by Play & Tour greeted me last Saturday. After hearing a short introduction, which covered the most important information about Barcelona and the city’s historical background, I was all set to embark upon my voyage of discovery through Barcelona.
Play & Tour is not your average sightseeing tour, but rather an audio-guided tour that you can download onto your MP3 player, allowing you to discover the city at your leisure, and at your own pace. With this audio tour, you not only see the sights and points of interest, but can also take time to stroll through the streets and passageways of the city, giving you a much better taste of the local flair and city life than you would get on your average bus tour, for example.
